OPEN TO HELP - changes to email policy
As of July 01, 2020 we will no longer be responding to medical questions via email. We have a Smart Vet Portal for all medical questions, prescription renewals and Telehealth appointments.
The province of Ontario has made revisions to the list of essential services and we are pleased to report that at this time, veterinary medicine remains an essential service. We will continue to remain open from 8:30 am – 5:00 pm Monday to Friday to provide curbside for pets with severely itchy and painful skin and ear conditions and those requiring urgent care for their dermatological issues. Patients will be seen on an appointment basis only. Please call when you arrive in the parking lot for your scheduled appointment (226-962-2001). Once physical distancing can be secured, a staff member will have you bring your pet through the front door of the clinic (please ensure cats are in carriers and dogs are on leashes for safety). We ask that you wait in your vehicle while our veterinarians examine your pet. All communications and payment will be done over the phone. VISA or Mastercard is preferred method of payment.
We are pleased to announce that we are now offering TELEHEALTH SERVICES for those who are unable to make it to the clinic or have a pet who is experiencing a non-life-threatening or non-urgent symptoms or concerns. Our telehealth services can be found at: https://yogvd.smart.vet/ Our telehealth service offers the opportunity to speak with a Veterinary Dermatologist over the phone or by video call communication. As well, you can message our knowledgeable Veterinary Technicians as well as request a refill of medications. Interpretation of lab work performed by your family veterinarian can be evaluated by one of our Veterinary Dermatologists on this portal. These services, of course, are provided for patients and clients of our practice. Please do not hesitate to call if you are unsure if your pet needs to be seen and our staff will help to direct you.
We will still be available for all other medication/food refills and pickup. We do ask that all medications/food orders be pre-paid over the phone before pickup either by VISA or Mastercard. On arrival to the hospital for pickup we do ask that you call (226-962-2001) and a staff member will place the items just outside our front door for pick-up.
